Resources How to Write a Thesis Associate Professor Joe Wolfe, from the UNSW School of Physics has produced an extremely useful document on 'How to Write a Thesis'. This guide to thesis writing gives some simple and practical advice on getting started, getting organized, dividing the huge task into less formidable pieces and working on those pieces. It also explains the practicalities of surviving the process. It includes a suggested structure and a guide to what should go in each section. The guide was originally written for postgraduate research students in physics, and most of the specific examples given are taken from that discipline. Nevertheless, the feedback from users indicates that it has been consulted and appreciated by postgraduate research students in diverse fields in the sciences and humanities. Guidelines for Developing a Research Proposal The Learning Centre has produced a very useful document, Guidelines for Developing a Research Proposal, and is for students who are enrolled in a postgraduate research hisgher degree who have been asked to submit a thesis proposal.
