University of New South Wales - Graduate Research School - Orientation for New Postgraduate Research Students

The Dean of Graduate Research, Professor Margaret Harding, would like to invite all new postgraduate research students to attend the Orientation to Postgraduate Research at UNSW.

Attendance at this event by all postgraduate research students commencing a PhD or Masters is essential to ensure a smooth transition to research study at UNSW and will provide you with important information on key issues including:

the Graduate Research School
enrolment, progression, and scholarship administration
services provided across the University for research students

"Essentials for Postgraduate Research Students" is a key publication for all new postgraduate research students. The 2008 edition will be available for collection at the Orientation or from the Graduate Research School (9am – 5pm weekdays, Ground Floor, Rupert Myers Building (M15), Middle Campus, Gate 14). This publication provides a handy summary of documents you will need during your candidature including:

relevant guidelines, policies and procedures
advice and resources to help you make the most of your candidature
useful contacts
