IT Information Email Your student email account All new postgraduate research students at UNSW are automatically given a student email address upon enrolment. This is coordinated by the IT Services office. Your student email is formulated as: zyourstudentnumber@student.unsw.edu.au Important information is often sent to your student email address. It is your responsibility to ensure that you receive it, so it is vital that you activate and check your student email address. IT Services also provides a Service Desk for all students at the University, so if you require assistance with your student email account, you will need to contact them. However, before contacting them directly, you should refer to the following information. Setting up your student email account - Essential Links In order to access your student email address, you need to acquire a UniPass (password) and activate your account. You can also change your address so it is easier to remember, or redirect it to a pre-existing personal email address. For further information on any of the topics listed below please follow the links:
IT Support If you have any other problems that cannot be solved by visiting the IT Services website, you can send them an email, phone them on 9385 1333/1777, or visit them in person on Level 2 of the Library Building. Computer Labs Library Computer Lab The UNSW Library provides a number of computer services for students. For a listing of the full range of services, click here. Student Organisation Computer Lab The UNSW Student Organisation provides a 24-hour postgraduate computer lab for all postgraduates at UNSW. The lab is located on the ground floor of the Library and contains both PC and Mac computers, as well as a scanner and printer (but you must provide your own paper). Swipe card access is required and can be obtained from the University Security Services. Note: If you are a re-enrolling student you must go to the E-SPOT to get a new student card as soon as you re-enrol as your old card will no longer give you access to the Postgraduate Computer Lab. If you are a new postgraduate research student you will need to take your card to E-SPOT and ask that your access to the Postgraduate Computer Lab in the library and the Postgraduate Lounge be encoded. This is not currently being done automatically for new students. E-SPOT is located on the ground level of the Red Centre, (Map Ref H13). Laptop Loans and Hire |
