What centralised support and assistance exists at UNSW for postgraduate research students?

The Graduate Research School provides centralised support specifically for postgraduate research students at UNSW. We provide advice on who, what, where, when and how at UNSW (no question is too big or small); up-to-date information on policy and procedure; information on general and targeted services and systems at UNSW; free subscription to Research-Eye, an email bulletin for postgraduate research students.

What infrastructure support (office, computers, equipment etc) can I expect from my School?

The level of infrastructure support available to postgraduate research students differs across the University. The School should provide students with information on the general facilities (eg, computers, lunch room, photocopying quota) and specific project support (eg, annual funding "allowance") that the School provides for postgraduate research students. Ask your Postgraduate Coordinator.

Ultimately, infrastructure issues should be discussed and agreed upon from the early stages of candidature and at every annual progress review. Make sure this happens!

How does the UNSW Library work? Who should I contact for assistance with my area of research?
