The Graduate Research School was established in October 2005. The School delivers under one structure, the full range of services designed to support postgraduate research students from information on scholarships and career opportunities to thesis submission and graduation.

The School has a reception desk and resource area for postgraduate research students. Students and staff are welcome to drop into the Graduate Research School anytime between 9am – 5pm, Monday - Friday. The Graduate Research School staff are happy to assist students and staff with any enquiries they may have and if required can point you to the appropriate service/contact within the University. Professor Margaret Harding holds the position of Pro Vice-Chancellor (Research Strategy) and Dean of Graduate Research, and has overall responsibility for postgraduate research at UNSW and executive responsibility for the Graduate Research School. She is supported by the Senior Associate Dean Graduate Research, Professor Dianne Wiley. Margaret O'Byrne is the Manager of the Graduate Research School and has overall responsibility for the administration of the School.
